Things are going so well....100+ golfers, weather is great...pace is good. Let's keep it up.
Winners last week included: Dick Dowd for real old guy long drive on #1; Stan Siuta for old guy long drive on #9; Brian Fitzpatrick again winning young guy long drive on #2; first time winner Tom Skelding for longest putt on #4; and Mike McCourt for closest to the pin on #3. Mike Lapchick is this
week's Player of the Week.
Birdies were plentiful last week with the following Marlon Chatman getting 2 and Robinson, Lapchick, Hammond, Lynch, Situa, Mayberry, Corday and Casambre getting 1 each. Stan's birdie was actually an eagle on #2 where his second shot can within a foot of the hole. In our big hitters club, Chatman, Corday and Mayberry drove the ball 315, 275, and 280 respectively on #5. All missed their eagle putt and made birdies.
Next week is our Reservoir Scramble. If you want to play, pick a partner and tell me or Jan. The game will be a 2 man scramble using the pair's best shot each time. The Reservoir and league member David Lynch are providing breakfast sandwiches and more on the first tee.

This will be our second week of the "interesting shirts" competition. Dennis Donelon ran away with last week's competition although wigs and tattoos are beyond the expected! Lots of good shirts though. Dig into your closest and bring out something wierd, colorful or just plain ugly!
Give us a message to post to fellows members...anniversaries, milestones, hole in one(s) and other golf feats, fun events, etc.
Candidate #1: Lane Corday teed the ball up on #9 behind the markers to try to get a level surface. He swung and his ball hit the markers and ricocheted to land on the #1 green. Great shot Lane and you just may be a winner!
Candidate #2: On #2, Brian McCartan hit his second shot to 6ft from the pin. As he approached the green, his playing partner Ron Cain hit his sand shot like a shot in pool and it hit Brian's ball and knocked it into the hole! Regardless what anyone says, we'll give him a 2..an albatross! Good teamwork.
